Who we’ve worked with
About Lālanga
Founded in 2020 by Lesieli Oliver, Lālanga was launched through the Pacific COVID Innovation Fund and commissioned by the Ministry of Education to help improve engagement, wellbeing, achievement, and attendance for Māori and Pasifika children. What began as a mentoring programme supporting one Auckland high school, has grown into a nationwide movement delivering curriculum design, advocacy, research, teacher training, and innovative learning experiences that have impacted over 20,000 young people across Aotearoa. Today, Lālanga continues to expand its vision by supporting not only schools and teachers, but also families and communities.
